MEET DR. THOMAS WILLIAMS

Dr. Princess Thomas Williams is a well respected and dedicated breast surgeon who has done extensive research about breast cancer and has been in private practice in Birmingham, AL, where she had the opportunity to treat both men and women with a variety of breast diseases, both cancerous and noncancerous. She is a native of Columbus, GA and is a proud member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons as well as the Society of Surgical Oncology. She is also an initiate as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2019, which is one of surgery’s highest honors. Dr. Thomas Williams recently moved her private breast cancer practice to Mooresville, North Carolina, where she provides holistic breast cancer treatments at Breast Cancer Specialists of Carolina.

She completed a general surgery internship and residency at Mercer University’s Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, GA, and went on to pursue and complete a formal breast fellowship at Yale University. Dr. Thomas has a commitment to excellence in breast cancer treatment and surgery, and she is hidden scar surgery certified. Dr. Thomas Williams implements the latest techniques of oncoplastic surgery to ensure that her patients have the best cosmetic outcome. She understands that the treatment of breast cancer is multimodal which includes the roles of medical oncology, radiation oncology, plastic surgery, and other critical services such as genetic testing in the management of breast cancer.

She also loves spending time with her extended family and friends. She thoroughly enjoys exercising, shopping, and bowling.
